When defining the symbolism in Celtic designs, it is important to remember that there is no written documention attaching particular meanings to specific designs. What meaning was, or was not intended by the monks that illuminated masterpieces such as the 9th century Book of Kells is not necessarily the same meaning expressed by modern artists using Celtic designs.There is some concensus on the meaning of the symbols, these are my interpretations and my intentions in the creation of these beaded works of celtic themed jewelry.
